Emergency Sleeping Bag/Bivy Sack

The Solar Sleeping Bag or Thermal Bivy Sack is made from a special polyester material designed from insulation, for use in space exploration. It retains 80-90% of your body's heat and can be used alone, or placed inside or outside of a sleeping bag for further warmth and protection or as a water resistant cover. This extra protection helps to keep one from developing hypothermia.

Since it is waterproof and windproof, it can prove to be a lifesaver in an emergency situation, such as suddenly being caught in a wind and rain storm. It acts as a windbreak against the biting cold winds and can also be used as an emergency ground cover or reflector of heat from a nearby fire.

Packs away in pocket or survival kit. It's ideal for that added safety while backpacking in the high country, or anywhere that cold and dampness would likely become a real problem.
